About This Role:

The College of Education invites applications for a senior associate or full professor of education and director of the Rural Education Center to teach courses, conduct research, develop funded grant proposals, and administer the workings of the center. The successful candidate will be eligible for tenure upon appointment with a required review.

Worksite Options:

This position is required to be performed on-site. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Ph.D/Ed.D in education or related field.
  • Significant research and/or training in rural education.
  • Eligible for the rank of associate or full professor according to Kansas State University standards.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Successful experience as lead principal investigator on large funded projects.
  • Administrative experience at the center level or above.
  • Evidence of ability to foster partnerships with PK-12 rural schools.
