Description and Requirements

This position is in a fast paced and challenging environment. Ideal candidates will work with minimal direct supervision and will concurrently handle and prioritize many responsibilities. This position reports directly to the Sr. Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Unload, check, and store incoming merchandise according to company procedures
  • Inspect shipments for damage or defects and report any discrepancies
  • Keep accurate records of received merchandise using computerized inventory systems
  • Pull and prepare orders for shipping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Restock shelves as needed and maintain par levels of stock
  • Train and supervise receiving clerks and other staff as needed
  • Coordinate with purchasing department to resolve purchase order issues
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to received merchandise
  • Prepare reports on receiving activities as needed
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Aids in cycle-counting and annual inventory audits

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: BS or BA degree or equivalent experience in Logistic Operations.
  • Electronics manufacturing or Distribution background required, 3PL experience preferred.
  • Proven track record in warehouse receiving operations (4 years' experience)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, Oracle, etc...)
  • Metrics measurements (i.e. delivery, costs, quality audits, exceeding all internal KPI metrics)
  • Continuous Improvement Quality process (i.e. Lean Mfg, Six Sigma, ISO, internal initiatives)
  • Safety Program compliance (OSHA, DOT, and state and local agencies)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for long periods of time
  • Forklift Certification & Licenses
  • Proven competencies in (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, MS Office)
  • Analytical skills to evaluate, report, select and implement cost-effective, distribution operations.

  • Demonstrated Leadership ability and a proven track record of success to support abilities.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to establish an environment that is conducive of continuous improvement, open communication and is free from controversy.
  • Strong Inventory Control skills - tracking and maintaining supply
