Responsibilities

The Enterprise Services Management (ESM) team maintains configuration data for FDA applications and devices deployed to on-premises and cloud environments in the Reporting and Data Assimilation Tool (RDAT). Change requests performed by the Peraton operational support teams include a task for the Configuration Management team to record the associated configuration data in the RDAT. This data is used to develop responses to any data calls that may be requested by the FDA.

The primary role of the Configuration Management Analyst is to identify, document and administer the Configuration Items (CIs) required for delivering IT services, including their relationships and dependencies as follows:

    Identify, control, record, report, audit and verify every attribute of services and other configuration items (CIs), such as versions, baselines, and relationships.
  • Manage and protect the integrity of CIs through the service lifecycle by working closely with change management.
  • Maintain the integrity of CIs by establishing and maintaining an accurate and complete configuration management database (CMDB).
  • Maintain updated configuration information about historical, planned and current state of services and other CIs.
  • Work collaboratively to implement and execute processes and operations.
  • Coordinate, develop and publish responses to customer data calls for configuration management and other operational data.
  • Assess and communicate responses to the customer and contractor teams, in a clear, concise and professional manner.
  • Support the continuous improvement of Enterprise Services Management (ESM) process and capability adoption, compliance, execution and implementation of supporting solutions.
  • Ensure timely and effective execution of ESM deliverables.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of new processes and tools.
  • Work effectively in a self-directed, customer-focused and dynamic IT environment.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience with BS/BA; Additional years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree.
  • Professional experience in a large-scale and diverse IT environment, including an appropriate level of experience with Enterprise Services Management tools like ServiceNow or other configuration management tools.
  • Professional experience with ITIL and key ESM concepts including Incident, Change Management, Process Improvement, Configuration Management, and Change Control Board support and administration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; including the ability to speak clearly and concisely, convey complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as the ability to understand and interpret complex information from others.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple teams to gather data and responses to customer data requests.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • ITIL V3 or later certification desired
  • Able to apply a structured methodology around Enterprise Services Management operations activities.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Enterprise Services Management tools.

Target Salary Range

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
