What you'll do: As a member of the EYECenter Optometric team, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals committed to helping individuals achieve their best vision. You'll perform eye exams, diagnose and assist in treating ocular diseases, prescribe corrective lenses, prescription dispensing, and promote healthy vision through patient education. You'll have access to advanced technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases and work alongside a team of 20 skilled professionals-on average, 22 patients are treated daily. You'll care for patients at the Folsom office on Mondays; four days out of the week, you'll care for patients at the Citrus Heights office.

Your proficiency in various facets of optometry will be integral to delivering efficient and comprehensive care to special populations. You consistently stay up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and lens technologies to ensure patients are aware of the visual solutions that will meet their individual needs. Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure

1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Working Conditions

The working environment is generally favorable, lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
