Office and Mail Clerk available for a 18-month contract with our client located in Austin, Texas
8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday
25 dollars per hour

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

  • Candidate needs to have bachelor's degree and at least 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in MS Office suite, who will be supporting the Finance group.
  • Experience in processing mail in the mailroom and the other skills remains as same as in JD
  • SAP - ERP - good to have. If they do not have experience in SAP, it is fine as they will be trained.

  • A good fit would be someone with experience from (Ex: United States Postal Service - USPS) who has performed the below tasks:
    o Weighing items using electronic scale to calculate shipping costs.
    o Operated mail processing equipment and manually sorted mail
    o Supported shipping and receiving needs by loading and unloading transportation vehicles and containers
    o Reconciled discrepancies between postal service invoices and internal records
    o Sorted and distributed incoming and interoffice mail
    o Interpret mailing paperwork, sort schemes to tray, and tag mail ready for dispatch to Pitney Bowes/ USPS/FedEx Ship.
    o Followed standards for gathering, sorting, and distributing mail to the right person.
    o Entered and maintained ERP data according to department guidelines
    o Weighed and metered all overnight, international, oversized, certified, priority, and regular mail to ensure contractual standards are maintained etc.



What You'll Be Doing:

Mailroom Clerk(s) to support the Finance group located in Bldg. 34 in Austin, TX, reporting to Alen Longoria, Sr. Accounts Payable Manager, GSS/GFS. The following are tasks that are required for this position:
  • Processing mail in the mailroom
  • Quality review for GSSO Mailbox
  • Quality review for Payment Remittance Mailbox
  • QA review of posted invoices (in scope)
  • Ad-hoc expense reports
  • Invoice scanning
  • Ships stored boxes of invoices to Iron Mountain.
  • Maintain log of received checks
  • Daily Q/A check Maintain barcodes file
  • Generate barcodes to provide to end users
  • Retrieve mail from receiving
  • Maintain Vendor master list
  • Maintain UPS mailroom shipping supplies
  • General support as needed
