Join our Venice Family Clinic team to make a difference in the community. As a Health Insurance Enrollment Assistant, you will



  • Operate as first contact for health insurance clients through phone and drop-in services.
  • Provide support for the data management of VFC's Health Insurance Enrollment Program.
  • Be responsible for entering and maintaining accurate data, file retrieval, and assisting with reporting.
  • Assist with other needed office duties and travel to our other locations within LA County.

Salary range:$25.60 - $36.33 hourly

Qualifications
Required:
  • Demonstrated clerical work experience in a high-volume office setting, and experience within in a community-based health clinic.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Proficient computer skills; the ability to verify insurance coverage online and work with databases and word processing.
  • Ability to keep accurate records; includingfiling alphabetically and numerically with accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to work within a team and with individuals from diverse ethnic, educational and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Ability to perform duties even with frequent interruptions and /or distractions and changing priorities/deadlines.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings on an as-needed basis.
  • Ability to provide coverage at our multiple sites (Rose, Pico, RLHC, and CHC) on a weekly basis.
