Description

As a Lead Central Service Technician, you will provide general direction and training of staff as well as oversee the Technicians' functions to ensure that production is maintained in all areas and assigned tasks are completed at UCLA West Valley Medical Center. You will alsooversee duties and tasks in the absence of Central Services' management team. Additionally, the Lead is responsible for ensuring a smooth workflow for receiving/transporting shipment, stocking inventory, fill order requests, and confirming departments' needs are being met.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Guide and instruct Central Service Technicians
  • Ensure compliance throughout the department
  • Assist with data entry into software and/or database
  • Maintain daily shift activity logs
  • Manage inventory, reconcile deliveries, transport supplies
  • Process departmental charges
  • Inspect and sanitize equipment
  • May be cross-trained in other areas to support departmental needs.

Salary Range: $31.37 - $37.46 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Supervisory skill in materials management.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skills with a strong customer service emphasis.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of basic computer operations and software.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of implementation and management of Materials Management information system.
  • Skilled in speaking clearly and distinctly to obtain and convey information to individuals at various levels of the organization
  • Skilled in performing with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
  • Ability to strictly obey the healthcare regulations for infection control.
  • Consistently demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in setting priorities that accurately reflect importance of job responsibilities
  • Skilled in working independently and following thru on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Ability to attend all in-services, workshops, drills, classes, etc as requested.
  • Ability to assist in the orientation and skill development of new staff members.
  • Efficient with time utilization / production.
  • Adaptability in changes in workload.
