Summary:

Northampton Community College's Department of Athletics has an immediate opening for an Assistant Wrestling Coach. This is a part-time stipend position with no benefits.

Job Description:

Northampton seeks a dynamic, high-achieving, individual to help coordinate all aspects of its NJCAA Division III women's wrestling program. Duties to include working in conjunction with the head coach on all aspects of the program, including recruitment and retention of team members, match and practice planning and support with facility preparation. The preferred candidate will have a commitment to academic success and NJCAA compliance along with a strong ability to relate to student-athletes. Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in the college and community. The ability to work respectfully and effectively in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff as well as communicating effectively to employees/staff and community organizations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree from a regionally accredited College or University preferred, collegiate coaching experience and a demonstrated ability to recruit student-athletes and develop successful programs. Candidate must have a schedule that allows flexibility for travel to away games throughout the season.
