Job Summary:

The Planning Process Coordinator is responsible for supporting the production line by ensuring all necessary materials, tools, and information are readily available. This role plays a critical part in maintaining continuous production flow, reducing downtime, removing wastes, and improving overall efficiency in operations across all cells.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure all required materials are available and delivered to the production line in a timely manner.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory control team to avoid shortages.
  • Remove empty containers and packaging materials to keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Provide technicians with the necessary tools and equipment.
  • Maintain and organize tool storage areas.
  • Report any damaged or missing tools to the operation managers, team leads, and maintenance team for immediate action.
  • Communicate with operation managers and team leads to understand production needs and schedules.
  • Adjust material and tool delivery schedules to match changes in production plans.
  • Maintain strict adherence to swim lanes, product movement gateways to maintain line balancing.
  • Assist in implementing Lean Manufacturing practices to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Transports finished products from the work area
  • Move Kanban cards
  • Ensure all materials and tools delivered to the production line meet quality standards.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues with materials or tools to the quality control team.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials and tools usage.
  • Generate reports on material usage, tool condition, and workflow efficiency.
  • Participate in daily production meetings to provide updates on supply status.
  • Assists with changeovers
  • Good working relationship with management and able to promptly raise issues so that it gets the proper attention


Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.


Position Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within aerospace or manufacturing operations is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move materials and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing, walking, and moving throughout the production floor for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • May require working extended hours, including weekends and holidays, based on production needs.
