The Manager of Product Management is a working manager who will play a crucial role in driving the product strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals, and overseeing the successful delivery of high-impact products. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, leading and mentoring a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts, fostering a collaborative and agile environment, and providing guidance on best practices in agile product development to ensure the team's alignment with company objectives. This role will report directly to the Director, Product Management. Responsibilities Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers to ensure cohesive and aligned product strategies across the organization.
- Provide guidance on best practices in agile product development to ensure the team's alignment with company objectives.
- Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture within the product management team.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.
- Develop clear goals for team members each year that are aligned to strategic company goals and objectives
- Develop a coaching strategy for team members to achieve or exceed goals and objectives
- Help team members focus on what is within their span of control to achieve success

- Provide specific and timely feedback, both of praise and opportunities to improve, to help grow and develop team members

Product Strategy and Roadmap Development
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders and Product Managers to define and communicate the product vision and strategy.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with company goals and market trends.
- Prioritize features and initiatives based on customer needs, project priority, and business value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between the product management team and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between technical teams and non-technical teams.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration to guarantee the alignment of product development with the broader organizational goals.
Agile Process Management
- Champion and implement agile methodologies, collaborating with Product Managers to drive efficient and effective product development processes.
- Continuously optimize and improve agile workflows, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
Performance Measurement and Reporting
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with Product Managers to measure the success of product initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and updates to executive leadership on product development progress and achievements.
Stakeholder & Risk Management:
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, customers, and internal teams, to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into product development.
- Act as a bridge between the product management team and external stakeholders, ensuring their perspectives are considered in product planning and development.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with product development, working collaboratively with the team to develop contingency plans.
- Implement risk assessment processes to anticipate potential challenges and ensure the timely resolution of issues.
Innovation and Research:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to contribute innovative ideas and ensure the organization remains competitive in the market.
- Encourage a culture of experimentation and learning within the team, fostering an environment that supports continuous improvement and adaptation to industry changes.
Budget Management:
- Collaborate with the Director of Product Management to develop and manage budgets related to product development, ensuring efficient use of resources to achieve organizational goals.
Customer Advocacy:
- Advocate for the customer throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring that user needs and feedback are central to decision-making processes.
- Implement customer feedback mechanisms and regularly gather insights to inform product improvements.
Product Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to end-of-life, ensuring products are continually evaluated for performance and market relevance.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure products adhere to relevant industry regulations and standards, collaborating with legal and compliance teams as necessary.
Other Duties as Assigned Position Requirements Formal Education & Certification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering).
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in product management, with a focus on agile development methodologies.
- Proven experience managing and leading product management teams, including Product Owners and Business Analysts.
Leadership Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and mentor cross-functional teams.
- Strong decision-making skills with a track record of successfully guiding teams through complex product development cycles.
- Experience in talent development, including recruitment, onboarding, and continuous skill enhancement.
- Comfortable leading teams through ambiguity and uncertainty
Communication and Collaboration:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster collaboration among cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
