The Transportation Routing Coordinator is responsible for the accurate assignment of freight costs and accessorial requirements attached to sales orders for all brands within the Luxor organization. This includes all LTL/TL and ground shipments based on current contracts. This position will not only assign the correct charges to sales orders but will also do historical analysis to verify the accuracy of those assignments and course correct on an ongoing basis. Cross functional collaboration and communication skills are required in working directly with Sales, Customer Service, Order Management, and multiple distribution facilities to assure coordination of the sales order processing from quotation through shipment and invoicing. This position will work closely with our freight management audit service company (CTSI) to analyze, confirm, and follow up on any discrepancies in the freight cost and invoice process. Responsibilities of this position include working with shipping in the distribution centers and Customer Service to obtain service level information on service, damage, and responsiveness. This will provide information on the best carrier service to support Luxor's business. KPI analysis and reporting monthly to guide strategic decision making. Responsible for working directly with Customer Service when troubleshooting invoices for all customers when discrepancies occur.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:

Functional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the correct freight and accessorial assignments for sales orders.
  • Provides accurate freight quotations when requested for all brands within Luxor.
  • Consolidates weekly shipping and invoicing data to verify accuracy of quotation, accessorial, and invoicing loop.
  • Validates collection of invoices to assure freight expense has been paid by customer, if not, works closely with customer service to ensure freight is collected.
  • Creates a scorecard by carrier for all accessorial charges, on time pick up performance, damage performance, and invoice accuracy to guide the organizational decisions.
  • Troubleshoots discrepancies working with cross functional departments to resolve any discrepancies created in shipping and freight expenses.
  • Reports monthly KPI's to management on carrier performance, invoice/quotation accuracy, and financial performance.
  • Meets all deadlines as established in coordination with order process

  • Participate on company process improvement and continuous improvement programs

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Proven ability to adapt to changing circumstances and short term, time sensitive requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Education Requirements:
    • High School diploma required; College degree preferred
  • Work History Requirements:
    • 3-5 years in logistics, transportation and/or analytical work experience, in a consumer/wholesale business

Computer equipment and level of software requirements:

  • High Level of Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Intermediate ERP systems experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft products
