Location: This position will be on-site full-time in Chicopee, MA. The position holder will need to be within commuting distance (within 45 min).

Team Lead Summary:

Team Leaders are working operators responsible for overseeing operators assigned to a production team or work cell and to ensure that production rates and quality standards are met, and delivery commitments are made.

Team Lead Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assign work, monitor quality and productivity.
  • Work with first and second shift supervision to support customer delivery requirements.
  • Perform set-up and operation of all UFP machinery he/she has been trained to operate.
  • Monitor machine operations while maintaining quality.
  • Troubleshoot and correct operational problems as they occur.
  • Understand production order, label making, and travelers.
  • Oversees daily operations of production line(s) to ensure timely completion of product schedules and maintenance of quality.
  • Working under general supervision from the Production Manager, supervises the training and work of Machine Operators.
  • Refers any decision on tooling or schedule changes to the Production Manager.
  • Assists in production / replaces absent workers when production needs dictate.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

Team Lead Qualification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED with equivalent experience and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in-house.
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be capable of reading a tape measure.
