PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Under the direction of the Energy Office Mgr., responsible for maintaining a customer focused attitude and assisting customers at the reception area.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Answer telephones, provide appropriate customer service or direct to appropriate salesperson/staff member

Data Entry for accurate record keeping

Maintain thorough knowledge of appropriate software

Support staff in assigned project-based work both in team-oriented environment and independently

Processing customer delivery orders for energy and updating customer accounts.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Attention to detail

Supports and contributes to total team goals and objectives through collaborative efforts.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Good interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively deal with the public (both on the telephone and in person) in a pleasant, clear voice.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 2 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Prefer an understanding of what a cooperative is.

Ability to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

  • Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
  • May be required to work at varying heights
  • Confined spaces
  • Lift (21-50 lbs, 51-70 lbs, 71-100 lbs).
  • Required to push heavy objects
