POSITION SUMMARY: The Community Outreach and Transfer Liaison serves as part of the ENMU-Roswell Career Center to connect students to job placement opportunities as well as academic transfer to a four-year University. This 12-month position will work to create partnerships that meet both the business and industry needs and the work opportunity needs of ENMU-Roswell students in all STEM fields. This position will work to help ENMU-Roswell students with job internships, apprenticeships, externships, job placement, and transfers. This position reports to the GPS Activity Director.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the Career Pathways Coordinator and community partners in the development, implementation, evaluation, coordination, and supervision of the GPS job placement program.
- Develop and present materials used for business and industry recruitment or college programs to faculty, staff, students, local high schools, and communities.
- Work with the Career Pathways Coordinator in advising, career assessments, student placement, resume coaching, student transfers, and data.
- Work with ENMU-Roswell transfer advisors.
- Work with GPS team members to promote ENMU-Roswell initiatives for student recruitment, retention, graduation, career placement, and transfer for all Guided Pathways.
- Develop new and maintain current employers relations within the community.
- Support the efforts of ENMU-Roswell Program advisory boards.
- Data collection and reporting efforts.
- Other duties as assigned by the GPS Activity Director, Title V Director, VPASA, and/or President.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Excellent organizational, planning, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels both verbally and in writing.
- Strong technology skills, including knowledge of educational technologies and learning management systems.
- Familiarity with first-generation college students.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Marketing, Behavioral Sciences, Communication, Leadership, or University Studies.
- One year of experience in secondary or post-secondary education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Education, Business, Marketing, Behavioral Sciences, Communication, Leadership, or University Studies.
- A minimum of two years' teaching at the community college level.
- Experience working in a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) or with first-generation students.
