Position Highlights University Facility Services Events department is looking for a diverse career minded candidate to join our team as a Mover. The Special Events Team cares for the beautiful University of Arizona campus, employees, and campus community. From sporting events to special dinners our staff ensures the clean and orderly planning of special events at the University. Note: All special events employees are required to drive University vehicles daily as part of their primary functions.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assists in the loading and unloading of equipment.
Delivering needed things like tables, chairs, podiums, stages, linens and other equipment from warehouses to event sites for planned events.
Sets up and removes seating and equipment for special events
Drive trucks to transport furniture, equipment, and materials to and from event locations.
Operate lift gates on trucks as needed for loading and unloading purposes.
May maintain vehicles and moving equipment.
Provide support in maintaining and cleaning equipment as needed.
Deliver exceptional customer service and assist with client questions or concerns.
Help maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
  • Working evenings and weekends required.
  • Ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous work experience in special events or working for moving companies.
