Job DescriptionPURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The Manufacturing Engineering Technician actively partners with the business to provide expertise in driving manufacturing excellence through support and execution. Key Performance Indicators: Customer Experience: 100% on time delivery supporting all departmental automation needs. Leadership: Complete 2 Professional Development Trainings Per Year. Compliance: Identifies and resolves machine safety operations. CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Technical Support (70%): Performs scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance and repairs to control systems at the Metal Casting Facility. Maintain a comprehensive range of tasks related to industrial automation and control systems to include but not limited to: Programming of Rockwell Automation PLC Controllers/Human Machine Interfaces, programming and maintenance of variable frequency drives and working with manufacturing IT department to maintain production network infrastructure and data acquisition of all automation programs, schematics, and updates. Equipment Safety (10%): Participates on various safety and machine guarding committees as an active partner who will address findings and engineering control implementations. Performs detailed troubleshooting analysis on production equipment and formulates solutions. Project Assistant (10%): Assists engineering and operations team in the implementation of new equipment, serving as a knowledge resource in project automation, partnering with contractors throughout implementation process and owning maintenance plan after installation. Provides hands on and technical oversite on equipment retrofits and upgrades. Manufacturing Execution (10%): Facilitates an infrastructure that pulls manufacturing data, processes the information, and delivers actionable feedback to the operations team. QualificationsTECHNICAL SKILLS: Basic understanding of Microsoft Suite EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Basic Qualifications 5 Years Manufacturing Experience with emphasis on Rockwell Automation controls programming and troubleshooting. Understanding of industrial process controls. Preferred Qualifications 2-Year Industrial Technology Degree with 3 years manufacturing experience with emphasis on Rockwell Automation controls programming and troubleshooting.
