Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDR's Federal Business Group, capable of delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location. Our work is performed by our professional staff, scientists and engineers at remote sites, embedded in client office space or our own facilities. EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices.

We are hiring a Senior Technical Specialist to work at our client site at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Design tasks involving judgment in evaluating, selecting and applying engineering techniques and procedures
  • Assist in writing Statement of Work
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems on the Air Force Base
  • Create 10 year plan for mechanical functions of the Air Force Base in anticipation of preventative maintenance.
  • Perform site visits as needed to assess mechanical systems.
  • Work on small projects doing light design.
  • Production of design drawings and construction documents through the use of computer aided design and other design software
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervising engineer


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • EIT Certification
  • Previous experience working on DOD projects

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported
  • Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline to be supported
  • Extensive knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported
  • Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary environments
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
