Allina Health Minneapolis Heart Institute is seeking an EP Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider to join the practice.

• 1.0 FTE position
• Team includes 7 Advanced Practice Providers and 10 EP Physicians.
• Inpatient/outpatient role includes weekend rounding which is divided among the APP team.
• EMR: Excellian (Epic) is one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation.

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities:

• Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
• Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
• Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant Program Required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• New graduates may be considered. Prefer a minimum 2 years of experience in cardiology or ICU.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA -National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) - American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates)
• Active MN NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).
• BLS certification required with in 180 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges.
