AHEAD is looking for a Quality Control Technician interested in working with cutting edge technology and delivering solutions that work flawlessly when clients power them on for the first time (and every time after).
As a Quality Control Technician you will be working with the newest tech on the market and in some instances, you'll see it before it even hits the market. The Quality Control Technician systematically monitors and evaluates various products and is focused on maximizing the probability that product standards are being met and exceeded by performing inspections, testing and communicating effectively with stakeholders across the team. These results are to be published in efforts to continually increase quality. Successful Quality Control Technicians are autonomous problem solvers that continually learn and grow their skill set to meet the demands of our markets.

Responsibilities
  • Review and make appropriate decisions based on workload
  • Verify product in accordance with documentation, AHEAD Method, AHEAD Defaults, and customer's defined requirements
  • Performs routine inspections of electronic sub-assemblies, cable, and hardware assemblies
  • Document deviations from process, product, form, fit and or function
  • Effectively communicate the deviation, how the deviation was identified and the resolution of the deviation
  • Resolve minor deviations before moving the product to the next stage
  • Sharing work experience in a friendly and professional manner
  • Create product or process standards where none exists in conjunction with respective departments
  • Ensure process and product amendments are captured in appropriate documentation
  • Learn new or custom product standards and their conformance to our process
  • Ensure product adherence to established standards of strength, quality, and endurance
  • Perform testing of completed products using provided test equipment and software
  • Operating mechanical and electrical test equipment to check apparatus for conformance to standard requirements
  • Collect data and put into tables and charts (metrics)
  • Maintain Internal Diagnostics programs in conjunction with respective departments
  • Assist with Training of new team members
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualifications
  • A high-school diploma or GED, or an additional three years of related on-the-job experience
  • Two years of on-the-job experience in mechanical inspection or a related field
  • Two years working knowledge of computer hardware or networking
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Effective interpersonal oral and written communication skills a must
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Detail and process oriented
  • Continued interest in new technologies and willingness to learn
  • Strong problem-solving skills

This role has a second-shift schedule (3:30pm CST - 12am CST) Monday through Friday.
