Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive D365 F&O Operations Specialist to oversee the operational processes within Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations (F&O), focusing on production, Bills of Material (BOM), item setup, inventory control, and warehousing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the Food and Beverage manufacturing industry, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. This role also involves driving process improvements and ensuring the efficient use of D365 F&O to support business operations.

As a core function, this role will manage the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of operational workflows within D365 F&O. They will play a leading role in ensuring that production processes, inventory management, and warehousing operations are accurately reflected in the system, aligning with business goals. The D365 F&O Operations Specialist will also support the integration of new processes and systems into the existing operational infrastructure.

As an adjunct function, they will collaborate with production and operations teams to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, support data accuracy within the system, and provide training and documentation for end users. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with data-driven decision-making, process optimization, and supporting both technical and non-technical teams in operational improvements.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:



  • D365 F&O Support & Optimization:

    • Serve as the subject matter expert for D365 F&O operations, particularly in areas such as production, warehousing, and inventory management.
    • Support the setup and maintenance of items, BOMs, production orders, and routing within the D365 F&O system.
    • Ensure accurate configuration and use of the system in alignment with operational workflows and processes.


  • Production and Manufacturing Processes:

    • Work closely with production teams to ensure that D365 F&O supports real-time tracking of production processes, material usage, and order fulfillment.
    • Support the integration of production systems with D365 F&O, providing accurate and timely production data to stakeholders.




  • Bill of Materials (BOM) & Item Setup:

    • Lead the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of Bills of Material (BOM) within D365 F&O.
    • Ensure that item setup reflects correct attributes for production, inventory control, and product tracking.


  • Inventory Control & Warehousing:

    • Oversee inventory control processes within D365 F&O, ensuring proper stock levels, real-time data accuracy, and effective warehouse management.
    • Work with warehouse and operations teams to implement effective inventory control strategies, including cycle counting, inventory audits, and reconciliation.


  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify and lead process change initiatives to improve production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and overall operational performance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize D365 F&O usage, leveraging system capabilities to drive process improvements.


  • Training & Documentation:

    • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end users to ensure correct system use.
    • Maintain detailed documentation on processes, item setup, BOM creation, and operational workflows in D365 F&O.




Knowledge and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations roles within the Food and Beverage manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft D365 F&O, with hands-on experience in production, BOM management, warehousing, and inventory control.
  • Proven experience in item setup, inventory management, and process change within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
  • Experience in ERP system implementation or optimization.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the Food and Beverage industry.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
