Position Summary

Under general direction, the Health Equity and Outreach Program Manager assesses, plans, implements, and monitors diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and activities that pertain to patient care, policy, education, and organizational development. The Program Manager works to cultivate and sustain relationships with MHS staff/leaders and community partners representing disadvantaged communities, ethnic minority groups, LGBTQ, and local tribes to identify unmet health needs and barriers to care for purposes of increasing community awareness, access to services, and improve health outcomes. The incumbent manages health equity programming at MHS and provides cultural competency education and resources to staff. The Program Manager also develops and implements community health projects/events that address health disparities, which requires expertise and experience in community/public health programming, facilitating large groups, and developing relationships with diverse populations.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in relative field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Three (3) years working with diverse community groups related to health and wellness
  • Experience developing, implementing and evaluating community programs required
  • Experience in developing relationships with diverse populations required
  • Three (3) years working in equity/diversity/inclusion fields in health care settings preferred
  • Bilingual preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $70,970.00 - $102,128.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
