University of Missouri - Kansas City Job Description
The Office of External Relations and Constituent Engagement is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Manager of Special Events & Conference Services. Primary duties include coordination, oversite, and managing the planning of special events hosted by a school, campus department or division. These special events include and are not limited to:
Characteristic duties include assisting in developing invitations and programs, coordination of mailings, program outlines, event budget management, volunteer and board management, negotiations of space contracts and other event details to ensure they are in line with University protocol and processes. Additional characteristic duties include organization of event logistics, such as, but not limited to:
Other duties may include providing backup support for the UMKC Administrative Center Conference Facility assistant. Shift
Full-time, benefit eligible staff position. This position involves supporting events that require working some early mornings, evenings and the occasional weekend. This position will report directly to the Executive Director, Special Events & Conference Services. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Anticipated Hiring Range
$51,875 - $63,000 per year commensurate on experience, education, and internal equity. Application Deadline
