Manager - Insurance & Corporate Risk

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Designs, develops, implements, leads, and promotes awareness of Blattner's enterprise-wide insurance-related framework, policies, and processes.
• Directs the insurance function for the organization and implements initiatives to maximize efficiency.
• Assists with placement of insurance, insurance policy review, management, and operationalization of various lines of insurance, including SDI, EPLI and others.
• Manages claims and various day-to-day insurance related matters, including bonds and LoCs.
• Builds and manages a team to include general administration of the insurance program and management of claims.
• Provides project risk assessments and contract reviews and negotiation of customer, subcontractor, supplier, and engineering agreements.
• Ensures third party compliance with insurance requirements and administers and tracks Certificates of Insurance.
• Leverages the parent company's insurance program, trains stakeholders (on-line and in-person), and coordinates insurance and risk communication within the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in risk and insurance management with significant influence on overall direction of insurance programs including project risk assessments, contract reviews, insurance placement and renewals, and insurance claims management.
• At least 3 years previous leadership experience managing a risk management and insurance team required.
