Child Development Lab in the College of Education and Human Development

Job Description

Serve as an assistant to the lead teacher in a university-based early childhood program. Assistant teachers are primarily responsible for mentoring student teachers, supervising co-teachers, and coordinating classroom activities, in addition to caring for and educating preschool children. The Child Development Teacher is expected to collaborate with the teaching team, other faculty, and practicum students to plan and execute a program that is developmentally sound, multi-culturally relevant, and sensitive to the range of individual differences reflected in our student, staff, and family populations..

Shift

8 hour shift, Monday - Friday

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 months of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Human Development, or another closely related field
CPR Certification
Child Development Associate Certification

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $22.00 - $24.00
GGS Grade: GGS-007
University Title: Senior Child Development Associate
