ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manager, Brand Portfolio & Equity, will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that align with the Ziploc brand heart, with a focus on Innovation and Media to Cart Execution. In this role, you will be creating a compelling vision for reusable food preservation products, collaborating with innovation teams to build a robust product pipeline, and commercializing a winning and profitable portfolio. Additionally, you will develop relevant sales and marketing assets to bring this vision and portfolio to life.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sustainability Vision, Portfolio Strategy, Innovation, and Claims Development:

  • Help execute a winning sustainability vision by developing a market-defining reusables portfolio strategy to win in the short- and long-term.

  • Identify, lead, and deliver best-in-market reusable innovations and renovations from concept to launch, rooted in brand strategy, inspired by compelling consumer insights and positioned to win with relevant audiences.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive segment claim strategy, including a short- to long-term roadmap of milestones.

  • Execute reusable portfolio brand design and identity, including visual brand language.

Media to Cart, Partnerships, and Market Optimization:

  • Lead and execute new reusable and mega-brand campaigns, rooted in consumer insights, tied to brand strategy, and brought to life with best-in-class agency partnership.

  • Lead licensing, brand, customer, and supplier collaborations that expand Ziploc's thought leadership in food preservation and waste reduction.

  • Build media-to-cart strategies to drive online and offline conversions, ensuring seamless consumer journeys from awareness to purchase.

  • Take charge of the business by analyzing syndicated data (Nielsen), internal shipment data, market research and other sources to both monitor performance and make actionable business recommendations.

  • Create consumer-centric approach to track and amplify waste reduction impact of portfolio.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of Marketing experience OR and advanced degree and 5+ years of marketing experience required

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

  • Strong interest in CPG industry

  • Working on cross-functional team

  • Ability to build strong working relationships

  • Passion for innovation and sustainability

  • Prior experience in the CPG industry

  • Proven project leadership capability and propensity to grow within brand management and other commercial roles (including sales, customer marketing, and shopper marketing roles)

  • Demonstrate honesty, courage and transparency in words and actions

  • Promote collaboration by valuing others and building trust-based relationships

  • Remove barriers by focusing on priorities, making timely decisions, and maximizing empowerment

  • Acknowledge tradeoffs, take appropriate risks and own all outcomes good or bad

  • Passionately deliver winning results individually and through others

  • Approach situations and processes with curiosity and open-mindedness while applying new learnings

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Full time onsite role in West Loop, Chicago office

  • Remote work is available once per week for eligible employees

  • This role is eligible for domestic relocation
