WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

An AVP of Facilities Management oversees the planning, implementation, and maintenance of facilities within the organization. They are responsible for managing and coordinating various aspects of facility operations, including building maintenance, security, safety, space planning, and environmental. The AVP-Facilities Management ensures that facilities are well-maintained, efficient, and aligned with the organization's sales strategy and cultural expectations. They may also develop and implement policies and procedures related to facility management and collaborate with other departments to support the overall functioning of the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensures all Plant Operations support team members (FMS) and environmental services supports team members (DDES) and programs are achieved at the campus level through management of assigned Home Office Support.
  • Focuses on driving KPI (capital deployment, compliance tasks, facility work orders, and staffing levels) to ensure sales strategy and financial goals are met.
  • Partners with Divisional Vice Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents and Department Vice Presidents to ensure assigned Home Office Support are following directional needs as requested.
  • Make modifications to policies and procedures as well as offer new best practices ideas to improve company services.
  • Conducts campus visits and ensures assigned Home Office Support are supporting campus as needed to maintain the highest standards.
  • Provides direction to campuses and leaders in the event of an emergency affecting the Life Safety System or structural integrity of the campus.
  • Partners with construction staff for the completion of new construction and bed additions.
  • Manages capital allocation for all health care facilities to ensure critical reliability goals are maintained.
  • Assists in the development of new training programs to ensure that plant operations and environmental services teams are current and up to date with regulatory and company standards.
  • Partners with Home Office Support teams and campus leadership to accountability and execution of financial budgets and controllable expenses and parameters for the Plant Operations and Environment Services departments.
  • Parters with VP of Facilities Management on special assignments and projects.
  • Leads discussion with State Surveyors as needed pertaining to LSC issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor Degree

Experience: 8-12 years

Licenses and Certifications

NFPA voting membership preferred

NFPA 101 Certification preferred

Physical Requirements

Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be abel to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
