Project Management is critical for Printpack's success now and in the future. The Project Management Office (PMO) at Printpack is an enterprise-level PMO that has a strategic focus on delivering business value by providing leadership and direction. The PMO Manager serves as the critical link between executive vision and the work of the enterprise. He/she is key to solving the company's largest and most pressing strategic initiatives.

Printpack's PMO Manager manages the enterprise project portfolio. He/she ensures the PMO is operating optimally to create business differentiation. The position has high influence on shaping and improving organizational project management practices, partners with key organizational and operational leaders to identify and achieve priorities, goals, and objectives for each initiative, and oversees plan development, industry research, benchmarking, operational feasibility analysis, financial performance reporting, written and oral presentation development, and implementation assistance.

The PMO Manager must possess a strategic mindset, have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and be skilled in making timely decisions that have high business impacts. The individual must be able to influence and have strong interpersonal skills to lead and build relationships with stakeholders of all levels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • GLOBAL CONSULTATION AND SUPPORT

    • Build relationships with key stakeholders and seek to understand business needs by working with executives and functional leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs.

    • Provide guidance and expert advice to business partners leading projects without direct management support.

  • ORGANIZATIONAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT DELIVERY

    • Drive the development and implementation of project management methodologies, standards, processes, and documents; ensure project managers adhere to these standards when managing projects.

    • Direct and allocate work to project managers, provide managerial oversight, and monitor project completion and deliverables.

    • Provide timely and accurate reporting of all PMO projects to project stakeholders and senior management and drive resolution of project risks, issues, and conflicts, and escalate as needed.

    • Support project managers to define and acquire proper and available project resources; track and manage resource allocation and utilization to optimize resource capacity.

    • Drive sharing, consistency, continuity and retention of knowledge and information to help Printpack complete more quality projects, faster, and economically.

    • Develop operational budgets and administer departmental spending.

    • Ensure that project and departmental goals and metrics are met.

    • Benchmark project management practices and stay abreast of new practices and tools and their potential benefit/value.

    • Develop and maintain a project management roadmap and manage project priorities.

    • Prepare presentations and communicate technical concepts effectively to business leaders.

    • Network within and outside of the company to stay informed on industry and market trends and determine potential impacts to the enterprise.

  • STAKEHOLDER INTERACTION

    • Communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to foster a business-oriented culture to ensure alignment between Project Management and the business functions and to directly contribute to Printpack's goals and objectives.

    • Provide consultation and interact with Senior Executives and their organizations. Collaborate and work closely with Subject Matter Experts from various functions, the business, customers, and suppliers accordingly.

  • PEOPLE LEADERSHIP

    • Develop talent and mentor staff through onboarding, open communication, training and development opportunities, and performance management processes.

    • Lead, influence, and hold cross-functional, technical, and non-technical Subject Matter Experts accountable.

    • Foster a business-oriented culture and mindset within IT and Project Management resources driven by a continual service improvement approach.

    • Effectively influence, align, and communicate objectives and priorities to mobilize resources to capitalize on business opportunities and manage organizational risks.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or related field

  • 8+ years of experience in Manufacturing

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience managing capital projects (>$10M)

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.

  • Advanced ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with all levels of the organization including internal and external customers.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%
