Shift Supervisor - Extrusion

Printpack is seeking the most qualified candidate to fill the position of Shift Supervisor in our Extrusion Department for the Villa Rica I facility. This position will report to the Production Manager.

This position is currently NIGHT SHIFT - 3/2 Schedule, but applicant must be able and willing to work any shift
  • Manage the shift to ensure all performance goals of the plant in relation to safety, waste, quality, and productivity are achieved.
  • Provide associates with coaching, feedback, and timely performance reviews.
  • Ensure that internal and external customer expectations are met and that ISO 9001 Quality System procedures are followed.
  • Oversee plant initiatives such as 5S, QCO, and AIB.
  • Supervise shift personnel in a manner that promotes a sense of fairness and high morale.
  • Control operating costs.
  • Perform job checkouts and make decisions regarding quality.
  • Oversee the department on the night shift to ensure compliance to regulatory policies.
  • Effectively facilitate and lead a small team to achieve specific QCO goals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years production experience needed
  • Proven ability to effectively manage people and responsibilities
  • Strong computer skills needed, PRISM knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills needed
  • Strong technical skills in flexible packaging desired
  • Must be able to pass a physical, drug screen and background check

Internal Candidates:

  • Must have received a 'Performer' or better on last performance review
  • Must not have active disciplinary action higher than Verbal Warning
  • Must be in current role for more than 120 days
