Job Summary: The incumbent will be responsible for Howell lab breeding colonies and experimental cohort production; this includes but is not limited to establishing breeding units, weaning progeny, ear notching, sampling and TGS submissions. This person will also be responsible for maintaining the labs animal inventory records via CLIMB. Additional responsibilities include the animal welfare of these lines - the individual will submit, respond to, and act according to Clinical Lab Animal Health (CLAM) direction. This person, will work indirectly with Howell lab trainees, and directly with other core Howell staff with regards to colony goals, planning, and future goals. As time and aptitude allows, the applicant can be trained in more advanced techniques as desired. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
