Job Description
  • Develops curriculum that addresses essential job preparedness skills, increasing interest and attendance of virtual and center workshops.
  • Delivers job readiness training activities that prepares participants for securing meaningful employment.
  • Works closely with training and/or community partners to best deliver meaningful and engaging content through workshops.
  • Facilitates discussions and activities corresponding to curriculum, creates a sense of community, and challenges participants to get the most from their experience.
  • Integrates employment and other success celebrations to recognize positive participation.
  • Provides accurate, well written, and timely case notes to document all participant and employer interactions.
  • Assesses individual barriers to success and offers appropriate solutions; meets one-on-one with clients, as needed.
  • Exemplifies the LEGACY standards and serves as a model to participants and colleagues during all interactions.
  • Develops and leads small, sector-based groups with cohorts for participants by means of engaging hiring employers.
  • Builds relationships with local employers and maintains contact on a monthly basis to identify job openings, promoting work-based training initiatives.
  • Meets performance goals based on time sensitive requirements.
  • Ensures employers satisfaction with services.
  • Attends Chamber of Commerce meetings and other community activities during the year.
  • Participates in job fairs and maintains a workshop calendar.
  • Coordinates with staff to fill openings to ensure job placement goals are met each month.
  • Ensures that the employer database is updated each week.
  • Prepares a report of weekly activities to include progress toward achieving monthly goals and objectives.
  • Promotes center events, open employment opportunities, and success stories through our social media platform.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education/Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Bachelor's Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) Certification or Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) preferred.

Qualifications

Demonstrates customer service skills. Ability to work with culturally diverse populations who may have significant barriers to employment. Excellent organizational, planning, and analytical skills. Proficient with computers and other related technology. Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and virtual teleconferencing platforms in a facilitation and business setting. High quality delivery of curricula to individuals/groups. Support for diverse populations with varying needs which could include limited English proficiency, learning disabilities, limited work experience, etc. Understands the relationship between engaging program delivery and successful participant outcomes. Work in a fast paced, performance focused environment demonstrating flexibility and ability to adapt to change. Establishes and maintains effective interpersonal relationships.
