Responsibilities



  • Provide supervision and leadership to the Safety Health and Environment (SHE) team.
  • Oversee the daily operations of safety programs and initiatives.
  • Facilitate training and development programs.
  • Manage payroll, administer employee corrective actions, and perform all administrative tasks related to the Fire and Safety Team.
  • Coordinate and conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate the initial response to Safety Health and Environment incidents, accidents, and emergencies.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure corrective measures and training are implemented and documented.
  • Contribute to the document control management system.
  • Assist in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that identified hazards are addressed and brought into compliance (i.e. Lockout tagout, fall protection, forklift and crane safety, etc.) .
  • Maintain accurate records for safety-related activities, including inspections, incidents, and training.
  • Stay abreast of safety regulations and standards, ensuring that policies are updated accordingly.
  • Implement emergency preparedness and response plans, and collaborate with department leaders on improvements.
  • Facilitate incident investigations.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Relevant safety certification (OSHA 30 or higher, forklift trainer, crane trainer, etc.).
  • Experience in safety supervision within a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
