The Opportunity:

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion for the DVLED Installation Solutions Team. Key responsibilities include securing necessary licenses and permits for various locations, as well as managing communication with subcontractors and construction teams. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies and procedures, along with the ability to effectively lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure successful project outcomes. A California GC License Class B or an equivalent certification is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

The role involves managing and acquiring General Contractor licenses for required states and cities, ensuring compliance for all projects and business operations. Key responsibilities include:



  • Directing subcontractors and vendors to guarantee timely and cost-efficient project completions, with regular meetings, site visits, and closeout procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date schedules, budgets, and project documentation within the department's online project management system.
  • Assisting business leaders and engineers in navigating local, state, and federal regulations while providing actionable compliance recommendations.
  • Overseeing the development and adherence to architectural and signage plans, ensuring alignment with construction and brand standards.
  • Offering guidance to internal stakeholders, including engineers and HQ R&D teams, on new and prospective turnkey construction projects.
  • Ensuring all projects meet OSHA standards, adhere to specifications, stay within budget, and are completed on time, with customer satisfaction as the top priority.
  • Performing additional duties and responsibilities as required.


Qualifications / Education / Experience:



  • High School diploma required, with at least 5 years of experience in retail construction, design management, or project management.
  • Preferred: California General Contractor's License Class B or an equivalent license in other states.
  • Proven expertise in construction procedures, materials, and project management principles, particularly for large commercial projects.
  • Strong organizational abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Smartsheet.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.


Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to transport project-related materials and equipment as required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to various project sites.
