At LG, we strive to make Life Good for Everyone. Summary Manages complex litigations and related legal issues. Conducts fact investigation, reviews factual and legal data, and advises organizations on legal risks and appropriate legal action to be taken. Handles class action litigation on the company's behalf or coordinates class action cases and other complex legal matters handled by outside counsel. Provides a variety of general legal services to internal clients as needed, including guidance on contracts, compliance and regulatory issues, and internal policy. Experience in class actions, complex litigation, product liability, consumer protection, or general litigation preferred. Responsibilities Manage litigations including pre-litigation, discovery, court proceedings, mediation, and settlement Communication with business units and outside counsel Fact finding and preliminary investigations to assess and mitigate legal risks Supervise and manage outside counsel Review and advise on motions, briefs, agreements, and any other relevant documents Communication with witnesses for deposition prep Communication with insurer to review and enforce insurance policies Review and advise on consumer protection or consumer fraud matters and/or warranty matters Provide legal advice to internal clients on a variety of legal issues, including guidance on contracts, compliance, regulations, and internal policies Conduct legal research and analysis Provide periodic updates to internal stakeholders on case developments Qualifications JD degree with 1-3 years of corporate or litigation experience preferred Admission to practice law in a U.S. state and eligible to practice law in New Jersey as in-house counsel (or recent law school graduates waiting for July 2024 bar exam results may also be considered) Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean required Be flexible in scheduling meetings in different time zones as needed Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed Privacy Notice to California Applicants At LG, we aspire to empower people and celebrate differences because we believe diversity will create the unexpected.
