Summary

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external consultants to achieve the team's mission by supporting LG's North American operations. Research, monitor, and implement environmental policies across all LG product lines and strategies. Focus on policy development, government (federal, state, local) initiatives, new business opportunities, GHG inventory activities and manage internal and external sustainability inquiries including supplier engagement.

Responsibilities

Environmental Policy Analysis & Implementation



  • Analyze environmental policies, regulations, and industry standards to identify their potential impact on LG's operations and products.
  • Identify associated business risks and opportunities.
  • Foster strong relationships with government agencies, industry associations, and external partners.
  • Contribute to LG's North American annual GHG inventory by working closely with internal and external experts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including headquarters, to integrate sustainability into business operations, fulfill client sustainability inquiries (e.g., MSAP, THESIS), including conflict minerals.
  • Develop comprehensive reports, presentations, and briefings on environmental policy matters.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree preferably in (political science and/or sustainability)
  • Master's degree preferred (political science and/or sustainability)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in related field preferred
  • Passionate about sustainable business practices
  • Knowledge in decarbonization, green building, and energy efficiency is a plus
  • High level of comfort in interacting with clients at all levels of leadership via polished oral and written communication
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet tight deadlines, and maintain flexibility with changing strategic priorities
  • Ability to collaborate across functions, teams, and globally
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
