Minimal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer information systems or cybersecurity related field with a minimum of 1 current cybersecurity certification, 1 current IT/Networking certification, and a minimum of 4 years of directly related IT/cybersecurity industry and/or teaching experience.
  • Cybersecurity certifications would include:

    • CompTIA Security+
    • CompTIA Pentest+
    • CompTIA CySA+
    • Cisco CyberOps
    • ISC2 CISSP
      or other closely related certifications from other vendors



  • IT certifications would include:

    • CompTIA A+
    • CompTIA Network+
    • Cisco CCNA or above
    • Microsoft Certifications
    • Linux certification
      or other closely related certifications from other vendors

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Master's Degree in a computer information systems or cybersecurity related field
  • Demonstrated qualification through related certification and/or industry experience to teach most, if not all, courses in the program including those related to:

    • Computer hardware, software, and core technologies
    • Networking
    • Cybersecurity fundamentals
    • Network and systems security
    • Database fundamentals
    • Scripting fundamentals
    • Microsoft Windows server, Active Directory, and Azure
    • Pentesting and security assessment
    • Cyber defense and analytics



  • Additional certifications beyond the minimum
  • Additional years of experience beyond the minimum
  • Experience managing, coordinating, or leading a program.
  • Curriculum development and assessment experience
  • Experience teaching live virtual (taught in person but with some students attending via Zoom), and asynchronous online courses.

Compensation
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Special Instructions to Applicants
PLEASE NOTE: Applicants selected for interview will be required to prepare a ten (10) minute teaching demonstration on an assigned topic. Position will remain open until filled.
