Are you a semi-retired accountant looking for a "side hustle" or someone that needs a very flexible work schedule? This part-time position (20-25 hours per week) is perfect for someone that is tired of the corporate world or being treated poorly in their mundane office job! Come work in a FRIENDLY environment!!
Responsibilities:
1. Perform daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data. 2. Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits. 3. Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted. 4. Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients. 5. Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status. 6. Execute month-end close procedures and postings. 7. Prepare financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting. 8. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes. 9. Continuously manage and support budget and forecast activities. 10. Collaborate with the finance department to support overall department goals and objectives. 11. Qualifications:
3-5 years accounting experience or associates/bachelor's degree preferred. Experience working in the non-profit sector is a plus. Proficient in accounting software - particularly in QuickBooks Online and MS Office (especially Excel). Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to direct and supervise. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations. |
