Job Summary

The Scheller College of Business (https://www.scheller.gatech.edu/) at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant professor position in the IT Management (ITM) Area. Preference will be given to applicants at the Assistant professor level who are beginning their first faculty appointment. The anticipated start date for this position is Fall 2025. The Georgia Tech Scheller College ITM Area is composed of eleven tenured and tenure-track, and three non-tenure track faculty members. The faculty have various research interests including business analytics, business value of information technology, crowdfunding, fintech, IT security, platform economics, and machine learning among others. They publish in the premier journals and their work has garnered numerous scholarly awards. Responsibilities

The successful candidate's primary responsibilities will include teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, conducting research, and providing service to the College, the Institute, and the Information Systems community. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching three courses annually, and the salary offered is competitive with leading research universities. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should have demonstrated excellence and show potential for continued excellence in scholarly research and teaching. Those pursuing a Ph.D. should be sufficiently advanced in their doctoral work to be able to successfully complete their Ph.D. in Information Systems or related areas by July 1, 2025. These qualifications represent the minimum requirements for the position.
