The Restaurant Equipment Consultant is part of the Quality and Performance team and will be providing professional restaurant equipment technical consulting and support to various groups throughout the organization, defining root causes for trending and systemic kitchen equipment issues - primarily focusing on cooking equipment, HVAC units and control systems, kitchen hood ventilation, walk-in refrigeration, and electrical systems. You will also have common technical knowledge on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and associated components. The Quality and Performance team is tasked with continuously monitoring, measuring, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of existing assets to discover defects, improve reliability, reduce costs, and decrease equipment downtime.

Location: this position will cover the Western territories. Candidates may live in/around the Denver, CO area.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will successfully read and understand equipment service manuals, schematics, and specifications.
Effectively communicate with design professionals (Internal & External), General Contractors, restaurant support teams, facilities management teams, service providers, and manufacturers
Provide technical leadership and support to key stakeholders, including training when necessary.
Effectively coach and encourage restaurant support teams on proper kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.
Provide support in leveraging manufacturers to define root causes with trending issues.
Transfer technical knowledge and information to non-technical people effectively in both written and verbal form.
Develop personal knowledge of restaurant equipment and building systems outside your area of expertise, including how the various components function within the overall restaurant environments.
Understand the overall functionality of the equipment and building as a system and be able to think multi-dimensionally about the cause and effect each system has on the other.

SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma.
CFESA, CFC certifications.
Strong commercial kitchen equipment knowledge.
Experience / Knowledge in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and water treatment.
Effective communication skills.
Teamwork aptitude.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT).
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Self-motivated for continuous improvement of personal skills and knowledge.
Ability to travel - 50%.
