What you'll do
As the Project Manager (Hybrid) based at our headquarters in Novi, MI, you will enjoy managing projects from planning and budgeting through launch and will oversee the progress of a portfolio of projects to ensure that commitments related to timeline, budget, scope, quality, resource and business case are met.
You will also:
- Identify project goals and provide continuous oversight throughout the project life cycle
- Partner with senior management and stakeholders to define deliverables that support business goals
- Define project scope and expectations for multiple teams and vendors
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
- Establish and monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using project management tools
- Proactively manage changes in scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
- Document project outcomes and recommendations for future improvements
- Coordinate project tasks, track progress, and foster collaboration to deliver results
- Resolve issues, mitigate risks, and escalate when appropriate
- Utilize basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections to make decisions
- Manage capital expenditure requests (CER) process and track approvals
- Ensure completion and execution of all legal documentation
- Provide monthly and quarterly cash flow estimates
- Foster high-performing teams through leadership, motivation, and development
- Manage project integrations through discovery, planning, execution, deployment, and close
- Periodically assess the health of projects utilizing the Obeya room process
- Recommend business process and system changes to improve efficiency and business outcomes
- Manage the project transitions between functional groups and project phases
- Conduct research into project-related issues and products

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- Five or more (5+) years of project management experience
- A reputation for being consistently attentive to detail
- Sound judgment with the ability to make timely and sometimes difficult decisions
- A history of planning and handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task
- Versatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
- Expertise in understanding, evaluating, and recommending changes to complex business processes
- Proven training and organizational change management skills
- Familiarity with value stream mapping
- Versed in conflict resolution
- Skilled in understanding financial metrics, creating capital expenditure requests, and managing a project budget
- Ability to travel up to 30%
