Job Summary

The Material Services Associate II is responsible to inventory, track arrivals, and reconcile supply needs in the department and in other designated supply locations where assigned. He/she is accountable for reporting supply discrepancies, shipping issues and other material needs to the team leader of his/her group, and following up through until resolution. The Material Services Associate II is responsible to complete required documentation and follow through processing of all paperwork for return of overstock/over shipment as needed. The Material Services Associate II completes replenishment of the supply locations via both manual and automated systems (via Handheld Scanning devices). He/she is responsible to learn and use all automated supply management tools as requested, and equipment tracking systems if needed. The Material Services Associate II serves nursing, patients, all ancillary departments, and Material Services.

The Material Services Associate also is tasked with the transportation of cribs, beds, and other patient surfaces as designated. In addition, this role may be tasked with rounding the dirty utility rooms to gather used pumps and clean them centrally in MS.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $29.63 - $36.99 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications

* This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Ability to use email and minimal word processing skills.
* Ability to self-motivate.
* Ability to learn quickly and adhere to specific protocols.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and physical environment.
* Ability to adapt and comprehend new computer systems.
* Minimum one year of inventory management and/or materials handling and restocking experience
* High School Diploma.
* Consistent and Reliable work habits.
* Ability to demonstrate leadership.
* Working Knowledge of various computer systems, Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management.
* Previous experience in healthcare or hospital environment
