Position Summary

UNM-Taos Student Activity Specialist is seeking a Student Activity Assistant.

    • Attends weekly student activities, events, and cultural programing planning meetings (time to be arranged based on schedule).
    • Assemble and arrange cultural engagement displays around campus.
    • Prepare rooms for student events to use - adjusting lights, sound volumes, and temperature as needed for each room before guests arrive.
    • Ensure proper use, storage and maintenance of all A/V and meeting room equipment.
    • Ensures high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas of the event center.
    • On occasion, may serve as the on-site point of contact
    • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
    • Be degree seeking
    • Be UNM-Taos student enrolled in 6 credit hours or more during the academic semester.
    • Ability to contribute to, follow, and enforce system and procedures.
    • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
    • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility.
    • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
    • Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
