The Job/What You'll Do:

The Transfer Coordinator is a pivotal role in our organization, focusing on seamless execution of transfers and issue resolution through advisor-facing interactions and transfer firms. This position requires a professional who excels in making outbound calls to financial advisors, resolving not-in-good-order (NIGO) items, and engaging with other firms to address rejection reasons for transfers in or transfers out. This role is integral in providing expert support to business partners and coordinating closely with the Business Process Optimization team in order to ensure smooth transfer processing. The Transfer Coordinator plays a critical role in enhancing advisor satisfaction through timely, knowledgeable, and responsive communications, demonstrating outstanding customer focus and problem-solving skills.

Coordinators also have the ability to be promoted to II, III, and Senior level roles for taking on additional responsibilities and exceeding key performance metrics.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to one of our following offices: Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing transfers, ensuring successful completion
  • Collaborate with contra firms to address rejection reasons and facilitate smooth transfers
  • Handle inbound/outbound phone calls with financial advisors and other firms to resolve transfer issues
  • Research complex issues with internal partners and respond to customer, client, and/or internal client requests via telephone and/or email
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce risk and improve processes
  • Assist in training and cross-functional operational tasks as needed
  • Communicate effectively with functional peers and leaders in related functional areas
  • Update and maintain transfer procedure documentation
  • Conduct daily transfer audits to ensure accurate books and records
  • Provide expert transfer support to vendors and partners
  • Coordinate closely with the Business Process Optimization team to provide process support
  • Maintain a deep understanding of end to end transfer process in order to quickly resolve NIGOs and rejects at any point in the process

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge of ACAT, Non-ACAT, and DTC transfers
  • Strong organizational skills (verbal, written, interpersonal, influencing, negotiation)
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to quickly master multiple business systems and applications
  • Ability to collect, analyze, interpret, report, and communicate data quickly and effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize, manage, and identify risk
  • Ability to identify root causes, determine appropriate resolution path, and apply improvements
  • Experience in brokerage and banking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated high productivity
  • Outstanding Customer Focus
  • Self-directed with a focus on execution, accountability, and ownership
  • Analytical and decision-making skills
  • Results-Oriented - Proven ability to set and meet goals

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $50,000-$70,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
