You are responsible for developing and managing a high performing poly skilled team of software engineers to develop software using DEVSECOPS and Agile/ Lean principles. You will work with peers and team members to create and maintain great products that support the business vision, while looking for ways to further optimize the engineering and product development process.
What you will do:
Provide management, coaching and mentorship to those who report to this role to maximize team's health and effectiveness, and to optimize individuals' career growth. Partner with stakeholders to plan and develop roadmaps, coordinate technical and resources planning and acquisition. Execute technical strategies to ensure that there is observability, stability, and scalability for the platforms they are responsible for. Provide thought leadership on modern software development best practices and can provide technical guidance and hands-on development and problem-solving assistance. Lead the craftsmanship, architecture, security, availability, resilience, scalability, performance, and cost effectiveness of the team's solutions. Leverage a deep understanding of front end and back-end architectures to develop high availability applications operating in a 24 x 7 environment. Lead special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, software engineering, and technical writing or equivalent experience. 8 years of relevant experience is required. Experience developing enterprise platform. Experience developing systems using Information Engineering techniques. Strong knowledge on AWS, Serverless, event driven architecture, microservices etc,. Strong knowledge on JavaScript, Node.js, Java or Python, JavaScript framework I.e. React, VUE.js etc. Strong knowledge on RDS, NoSQL, Kubernetes, ECS etc. Working experience on DevOps, Agile, CICD, and infrastructure as code
