THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a Principal Hardware Emulation Verification Engineer (Graphics) to lead the development and implementation of best practices for creating functional, efficient, and space-optimized models. This role involves close collaboration with experts from graphics sub-system design, top-level graphics IP, PPA, software teams, and senior management.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication and presentation skills, demonstrated through technical publications, presentations, and training. You are skilled in fostering collaboration among top thinkers and engineers, ready to mentor and elevate the team's knowledge and skills. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior architects and teams across different geographies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ideal candidate will have extensive design verification experience for complex multi-billion gate designs, including:

  • Development of testbenches from subsystem to top-level design.
  • Creation of virtual platforms to facilitate design and software verification.
  • Implementation of effective debug methodologies.
  • Drive innovation in model building and debugging methodologies.
  • Collaboration with design teams to ensure delivery of optimal RTL for HW emulation.
  • Proficiency in power and performance analysis, leveraging hardware emulation for accurate early-cycle data.
  • Strong scripting capabilities, particularly in Python, TCL, and shell scripting.
  • Collaborate with a high-profile team to advance hardware emulation methodologies for graphics IP.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working with graphics IP design and software teams on design verification, PPA workloads, and software workloads.
  • Experience in developing, building, and releasing large multi-billion gate hardware emulation models.
  • In-depth knowledge of key hardware emulation vendor solutions for emulation and prototyping.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Undergrad degree required or Master's degree in a related discipline is preferred.
