Position Summary:
Reporting primarily to the Operating Unit President, the role of the Unit Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the company's financial accounts, payroll, budget, cash receipts and financial assets while able to balance several projects at once.Focusing on the unit's financial records and adhere to Tecta's financial matrix. Additionally, this role requires a high level of attention to detail with strong analytical, customer service and organizational skills.The right candidate will have prior experience in an office manager role.

Responsibilities & Procedures:
  • Coordinate Payroll for the company with Regional Accounting Office.
  • Establish & maintain relationships with Owners, General Contractors, Taxing Authorities as required to support successful operations of the company within Corporate Policies.
  • Provide Support for other departments and projects to assist in their administrative and accounting needs.
  • Coordinate with local staff to assure smooth operations between the financial functions.
  • Perform daily banking requirements.
  • Take general management direction from Supervisors.
  • Participate in internal audits.
  • Prepare various month-end financial reports.
  • Maintain clean accounting and financial records of applicable duties.
  • Resolve discrepancies on invoices, billings, payments, disbursements.
  • Make recommendations to supervisor for cost effective methods of accomplishing specific functions.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of the accounting and finance department.
  • Responsible for all Billings, posting, and collection of Project Accounts Receivable.
  • Responsible for the entry and reconciliation of Inventory levels.
  • Work closely with the President to ensure daily Office Administration Coordination.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Advise staff regarding daily issues and handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
  • Prepare/coordinate various construction documents, forms and procedures.
  • Poses the ability to prioritize, be flexible and multitask in a dynamic fast-paced environment.


Position Requirements:
  • Prior customer service and/or office administration experience, 2+ years (required).
  • Commercial roofing and/or general construction experience, 1+ years (strongly preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on active listening. Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills (strongly preferred).
  • Excellent time management, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Highschool diploma required. College coursework preferred.


Working Conditions:

Physical surroundings: Office environment with typical office machines and exposure to noise and temperature.
Physical Effort:Extensive sitting, standing, bending, standing, walking are all expected activities. Ability to lift more than 25 lbs. on occasion.
Travel:Local and potentially out of state for purposes of company needs and onsite training.
