The Corporate Action Specialist will be assigned a portfolio of companies and will be responsible for the day to day processing and balancing of the corporate action events for each company in the portfolio. Overtime may be required due to the unpredictable nature of the events. The team member will be required to gain a thorough understanding of all requirements associated with corporate action processing activities and the interrelated functions of other Shareowner Services departments that are involved in the process. Duties may include transaction processing, resolving complex customer issues that are associated with the corporate actions process, ensuring shares and cash are in balance, balancing corporate action bank accounts and verifying accuracy of the transactions processed.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities



  • Processing transactions & resolving complex customer issues that are associated with the corporate actions process, ensuring shares and cash are in balance, balancing corporate actions bank accounts and trust accounts, and verifying accuracy of the transactions processed.
  • Ensure that shares and cash remain in balance.
  • Performs a variety of operational tasks for complex securities or cash relate transactions that require extensive knowledge of unit functions and systems.
  • Differentiating, processing, and reconciling transactions; researching inquiries, reviewing time sensitive and/or complex documents, creating or revising department procedures.
  • May provide department level reporting using multiple sources.
  • Provides back-up to other desks and may provide training or work direction to junior level staff.
  • Works under minimal supervision.
  • Maintaining a high level of accuracy despite complex transactions and periods of high volume.



Education Requirements



  • High School



Experience Requirements



  • 3+ years of experience in on or a combination of the following: customer service, operations, financial services, accounting, business processing, analytical, financial, clerical, or call center.



Skills and Abilities



  • Experience in an operational environment
  • Prior Transfer Agent or Securities Industries experience
  • Ability to multi task and meet deadlines while working in a fast paces, high volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, innovatively, and creatively while exercising sound judgement
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, with demonstrated capability in Word and Excel
  • Must be able to effectively read, write and speak English
  • May be required to work overtime during periods of high volume



Compensation



  • $20.00 Hour
