Position Description

This position is responsible for supporting Modine product manufacturing, focusing on costing of production processes, materials, and capital equipment. This opportunity will be a full-time, temporary position occurring during the fall semester. The assignment lasts for the fall term. As a Continuous Improvement Intern, you will assist in analyzing processes and identifying opportunities for enhancement within our organization. You will collaborate with various teams to implement strategies that drive efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance. Additionally, you will contribute to the creation and documentation of standard work procedures to ensure consistency and quality in our processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in data collection and analysis to identify process inefficiencies.
  • Participate in project teams to execute improvement projects.
  • Conduct research on best practices and industry benchmarks.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings focused on process improvement strategies.
  • Create and document standard work procedures to ensure consistent execution of processes.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Basic knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
