Associate Engineer Facilities and Security

Description

The position is primarily responsible for design, installation, operation, and maintenance of Padagis US Facilities, with a focus on security and life safety systems. This includes all hardware, software, and related infrastructure for access controls, cameras, fire suppression, and fire/smoke/water/burglary/temperature/humidity alarms. The position will also support facility HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Job duties:



  • Ensure facility, security, and life safety systems are operating and maintained properly and are compliant with Local/State/DEA/FDA regulations, meet insurance company requirements, and comply with all applicable safety and environmental policies
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex and technical Facility related issues
  • Lead and participate in facility/security related capital and/or continuous improvement projects as assigned (hardware/software upgrades, system and device replacements, facility renovations, manufacturing expansions, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Management, EHS, and local authorities to develop and implement effective emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, and assist with regular drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Coordinate vendor contracts and onsite work, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising safety or compliance
  • Respond to and resolve facility-related emergencies or disruptions promptly, minimizing impact to operations
  • Support the Facilities Engineering Manager in decision-making processes by providing data analysis and technical insights

Additional requirements:



  • 3+ years of experience in Facilities Engineering or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
  • Basic knowledge of security, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills
  • Experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of current safety, environmental, FDA, and DEA regulations in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven ability to solve complex facility related issues
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
