Responsibilities
As a Site Reliability Engineer (Senior) with MTSI, you will manage laboratory network assets for development and testing efforts located in Colorado Springs, CO. Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- Maintain Development LAN services including Jira, GitLab, and Nexus.
- Manage user accounts across Linux-based DevLAN.
- Maintain, update, and secure services running on DevLAN.
- Create scripts to assist with system/network administration.
- Ensure periodic backups are being performed correctly.
- Enforce network and system security practices.
- Perform periodic updates to Linux distro.
- Manage lab resources across multiple different projects and changing priorities.
- Work with developers to ensure clear tasking to achieve project goals.
- Ensure approved RMF procedures are being complied with.
- Maintain CICD pipeline process and artifacts.
Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years' experience in Linux system and system administration.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Scripting using Bash, Python, etc.
- Ability to manage GitLab, Jira, Nexus, and CICD pipeline practices.
- Experience with Git repositories and GitLab.
- Experience with Podman, Docker, Docker compose, and Docker registries.
- Demonstrated ability to understand enterprise level systems.
- Demonstrated ability to shift from one project to another in an dynamic work environment.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Linux system and system administration.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Competence in software and system design, management, and sustainment.
- Familiarity with SQL and database design and sustainment.
- Familiarity with Nginx and proxies.
- Management of Virtual Machines, VM Ware, Proxmox and Virtual Box.
- Automation and Scripting skills including Ansible Automation.
- Cloud implementation knowledge.
- Good understanding of RMF compliance process and implementation.
- Strong motivation to expand knowledge and skills.
- Ability to approach classical problems with new ideas and innovation.
Education Requirement:
- Associates degree.
- Bachelor's degree, Desired.
Travel Requirements:
- This position will require overnight travel up to 10% of the time.
- Trip durations may range from overnight to several weeks.
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Top Secret with Sensitive Comparted Information (SCI) eligibility.
- Clearance must be at least 1 year away from next 5 year update.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $120,000/year to $160,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract wages, job- related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
