Job Description

PCI is seeking a Branch Safety Engineer for its Boise operations based in Meridian, ID. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:

Job duties may include:

    Promote safety, safe work practices and behaviors to instill an injury-free culture throughout all site and field personnel.
  • Assist branch / site with the implementation and administration of the company's accident prevention plan, policies and procedures. Including safety resources such as training, expertise and guidance.
  • Represent PCI and participate in Safety Committee activities
  • Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine and non-routine safety and health hazards.
  • Ensure company and client safety reports and documentation are submitted timely and in accordance with client requirements and expectations.
  • Council and coach workers to gain compliance with the accident prevention plans, policies and procedures.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety health hazards.
  • Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance.
  • Responsible for investigation and evaluation of injuries and illnesses for the project site.
  • Convey a professional and positive attitude as the safety representative of plant site and corporation.
  • Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).

This position is safety-sensitive.



Requirements

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Construction Science/Management or related discipline, or comparable work experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught.
  • Customer service skills, such as able to work with customers and build strong relationships.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Local to the Boise area
